Westcliffe Inn is located in the Heart of the Wet Mountain Valley, between the rugged Sangre de Cristo Mountains to the West; and the Sierra Mojada, or Wet Mountains to the East, Westcliffe lies at an elevation of 7,888 feet.
The regional weather is pleasant with over 320 days of sunshine, with low humidity. Westcliffe and The Wet Mountain Valley averages 16.5 inches of precipitation per year.

Westcliffe is Colorado’s first International Dark Sky community, and recognized as the highest elevation International Dark Sky Community in the world. Breathtaking views of the Milky Way Galaxy can be seen from town or anywhere in the valley.
Custer County is are home to hundreds of miles of hiking and cycling trails, fifty-four alpine lakes, has an air of the undiscovered. Colorado has blossomed, but Westcliffe is still a small Rocky-Mountain town that people love to visit.
